Glenesk 5 Year Old Wm Sanderson Buton ImportÂ
This is from the now demolished distillery Glenesk, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail s, Glenesk was Established in1897, it was also known over the years as, Highland Esk, North Esk, Montrose and Hillside, the distillery closed in 1985 as a distillery but operated as a maltings, the distillery was finally demolished in 1996, the Maltings have been expanded.Â
Nose: Soft mellow almond, some mild spices and hints of citrus adding to the vibrancy of the nose, fresh baked shortbread and honey.Â
Palate: It s a superb balance of flavours, banana and honey, some light citrus and tangy notes, vanilla pod, some rich and sweet charred fruits, a little creamy caramel. Â
