Although we’re in the midst of a rye revival, it’s not a new whisky style. The man said to have started it all of was Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr. over a century ago. This recipe harks back to that time, an expression made with just rye and malted barley. The result is a dynamic, zippy whiskey that’s perfect for both cocktails and sipping.

Nose: Bold and forward for a rye, its really tempting to dive right in to the palate but a little restraint is always good! Some sweet charred oak notes, sweet citrus, a little dry spice and leather, hints of dark fruits and a little cinnamon stick.
